WHAT IS LEAF?
LEAF is a non-profit organization established in 2016 with the mission to provide Latino parents with the information, knowledge, and skills needed to navigate their local educational systems.
We coach first-generation Latino parents and students, empowering parents to create a home atmosphere that solidifies their children’s academic and career paths.

Provide Latino Spanish speaking parents resources to navigate the local school system to achieve academic success.
LEAF implements its Family Academic Engagement (sm) approach to develop a lifelong academic success for Latino families.
LEAF’s executive director, Dinorah Olmos, has worked with schools, parents, and communities from across the United States, Mexico and Colombia. She has more than 30 years of experience providing information, and equipping parents and students with knowledge, skills, and confidence to acquire academic success.
Dinorah comes from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University, Center for Talented Youth (CTY), where she was an Assistant Director of Admissions for gifted students recruited from around the world.
