Los padres latinos necesitan m\u00e1s que documentos traducidos. Necesitan entender c\u00f3mo funcionan las escuelas, qu\u00e9 est\u00e1n aprendiendo sus hijos, sus derechos y responsabilidades dentro del sistema escolar, qu\u00e9 programas extracurriculares est\u00e1n disponibles y por qu\u00e9 son esenciales para llegar a esos programas. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En LEAF, entrenamos a padres y estudiantes latinos de habla hispana de primera generaci\u00f3n, capacitando a los padres para crear una atm\u00f3sfera hogare\u00f1a que consolide las trayectorias acad\u00e9micas y profesionales de sus hijos. LEAF <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cumple su misi\u00f3n al implementar un enfoque completo de Participaci\u00f3n Acad\u00e9mica Familiar (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2120<\/span>) <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">para desarrollar el \u00e9xito acad\u00e9mico de por vida para las familias latinas.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En 2019, Olmos recibi\u00f3 la beca comunitaria Open Society Institute (OSI), lo que le permiti\u00f3 ampliar los programas de LEAF y ofrecer talleres a diferentes
